Via Francigena
Approximation of the route with diversion to Bobio and Via degli Abati. A wonderful route, some on road and off road. All of it incredibly beautiful and historical. Lots of Irish connections along this route.

We stayed overnight in the Augustinian Monastery on top of the St Bernard Pass and rolled down to the Italian border crossing with Switzerland at 7.30am the next morning
We left the Augustinian Monastery on top of the ST Bernard Pass at 7.30am and coasted down to the Swiss / Italian border crossing. Beautiful sunny morning but absolutely freezing at over 8,000 feet.
Flying to Gatwick in the morning @ 11.30ish, hope to take train to Canterbury.
Plan is to then find a place to stay, visit Cathedral and get credencial stamped and on we go!
